Part of my “Good Wines Good Times” collection, Boujee Picnic depicts a bottle of Savagnin from Jura producers Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot, a real cult favourite, paired with slices of Comté on a gingham picnic cloth. Above the sky is darkening, and this moment is full of private indulgence.
Boujee is a term derived from the French word bourgeois, meaning “upper-class”, often used in todays media to mean luxurious, high-class, fancy or making an attempt to seem any of these. Just like the word “Hedonism”, this word can carry negative or positive connotations depending on our own programming and beliefs around it.
